Hot And Cold

Rained cats and dogs in the morning. Many in fact. Students and teachers alike throng the bus stop. My colleague and I waited nonchalantly as each passing bus was packed to the max.

After a hectic day, I returned home only to find the weather as stuffy as a dried chicken. Took a brief respite before coming online again.

Another of my friend is enjoying his well-deserved break, as he was slogging it out when I was having the March holidays.

Other than that, the usual long Mondays to Wednesdays.

Weekend

Woke up earlier than normal on the first day of Term 2. Not good. Subsequently, I had to make up for my lack of sleep by taking afternoon ..more like evening naps.

Collected my specs yesterday. Had to forgo meeting Ivan Eddie and Thng at Marina. Somehow, I can't sleep for more than 10 hours nowadays. Had been waking up around 7 to 9 am yesterday and today.

For the first time in a long time, I can actuallyt take a deep breath and sit back to enjoy the Sunday. Ah.

Command and Conquer 3 is coming out. Along with other freebies such as a Razor Mouse, mousepad, some model etc.

Catching Breath

Same old routine everyday. For the first 3 days that is. Reach home, bathe, KO for 2 hrs. Then I would groggily wake up and proceed to mark (more like remark) the test scripts. Came across all sorts of weird answers. Stupid open-ended questions.

Today, I can safely say I am 90% done on returning the test scripts.

Had lunch with Ashraf and Wajihah at Delifrance. The chocolate muffin dessert, originally $7, costs $2 when a main course is ordered. I can't describe in words. All I know is that the dessert is heavenly. ONE HAS NOT LIVED UNLESS YOU TRY THAT CHOCOLATE DESSERT!!!! The chocolate simply OOZES (bleeds out) when I attempt to poke it. SHIOK to the extreme. Felt like a frog in a well when I savour the taste.

Went Harbourfront with Ashraf to reclaim his camera. (after delaying for 3 days due to extreme timetable periods). Reached an office building that reminded me of a scene straight out of a first person shooter game. The breeze was refreshing.

As usual, reached home and took an evening nap. By the time I reached Pasir Ris, the thunderstorm had been reduced to a drizzle.

Rough Start

Had a rough start to the Term ahead. Had to witness something which should have never happened to anybody. Later had a meeting with Head of Bio and Science in the HOD office.

Quickly recalled the answers after my one week break from school. Term 2. A new start. My inner persona seemed to have grown white hair, but in fact nothing outside has changed. Maybe I joke less in class nowadays.

Lunch at 1530 and dinner at 2030. Not exactly a healthy timing. Neither is my lack of exercise. To be able to wear vest and slack and the Army shoes is considered an achievement for me.

Feels a bit strange on not clicking the witch hat and broom icon on my desktop. My soul rages like an unchecked hollow against my spirit.

Maybe I shall take a slow ride home on a bus on the last day of Term 2.

Goals Along the Way

Took a well-deserved break last week. Wanted to enrol in a night class, but the daunting hours from 7pm to 10pm on a Monday and Wednesday are too tough, especially since those 2 days are long days. Might consider going for them after my teaching stint.

Have attained my desired goal. Now I shall see what other goals remain. Maybe I should train my body for $100 IPPT pass in the evening.

Nothing further. Out.

$50 voucher

Sometimes it is good to have credit card. Apparently, as a reward for being a loyal customer, my mother received a $50 voucher to dine at Jack's Place.

Hence, on a fine afternoon after thinking through an organic chem qn, I proceeded to meet my mother at Tampines Mall Macs. Did not expect medium steak to be so red in the inside. Nonetheless, it satisfied my animalistic instinct. Fleisch.

Speaking of flesh, I recall Ashraf receiving a pamplet on why we should all turn vegetarian.

  1. Not all our teeth are used for slicing up meat. Some are used for grinding veggies.
  2. Our large intestine is actually quite long, compared to the relatively short tract of carnivorous animals.
  3. We squirm at the sight of blood as a natural instinct (YES, the pamphlet actually said that!)
  4. Hence we must have evolved from an anchestor that does not consume purely meat.
  5. Furthermore, from energy losses and all those crap, we gain more energy eating veggies than animals. And its healthier. And saves a couple of animals from being extinct. And saves the world and henceforth..

Had a satisfying meal eating the Jack's Special. Succulent beef gloriously spread out, begging me to eat it. Meat had never tasted so good.

While I was enjoying the ambience, and accidentally breaking a crooked candle at the same time, I heard this background music playing. The music reminded me of one of the blogs that I used to visit. Hmm.

Random Comments

"DoTA is like real life. Your parents are like the 8 gold that is flowing in every 5 seconds, slowly but always providing you with some sort of finances. Killing a tower is like striking lottery, the occasionally lucky wealth you get. Going on hero-killing is a risky business, either you gain much or lose much. Just like shares and investments. Meanwhile, the rest of us are stuck on the rat race, slowly farming our way through hordes of creeps, hoping to save enough for the next good item, in other words, our houses and cars."--bored person I was with last night.

Sounds a bit off-topic. But what he said made a bit of sense. Maybe that explains how Eddie is a prolly good farmer, in both DoTA and real life, raking in the moollahs.

Raymond and I

Haven't seen him in a long time, ever since after my ORD. Decided to treat him to a movie on "Ghost Rider" at Vivocity. Comes along with a free set of Vanilla coke and kacang puteh. Made our way to that large shopping mall, almost got lost and late for 15 min. When we arrived, it was just nice. Looks like the first 15 min of the show was advertisement.

Reminisce on many stuffs. Even had the same colour for our shirt unintentionally. One of the few guys that I talk to freely.

Had dinner with him at Bedok hawker centre. Ended up with both of us treating each other. After a not so sumptuous meal, I took a train and a bus back with him. And then proceeded home on my own.

One of the rare occasion that I truly enjoy myself.

The Hollow Ichigo

That fool. Teck Beng actually posted all the bad things on the Net. If anyone was as VICIOUS as me, he would have been screwed a long time ago. Can't believe that guy is such a NAIVE guy, thinking the World is an innocent place. Looks like some Waking UP is needed. Step aside, boy, let me teach you the way of the world.

Had to clear some trash off his blog. Useless trash that might not only implicate him, but the rest of the treetop community.

Watched some movie about war violence. Which satiates my visual appetite for the moment. Full of human emotions at their highest glory. Anger, Fury, Hate, Lust. *grins sadistically* It's nice to be able to inhabit in the body of my host once a while.

From now on, I must make sure the goon maintains ABSOLUTE electronic silence about things happening in school. It's gonna be only about ME, MYSELF and I!!

I like the background in this blog. It reminds me of what is happening now. That use___ guy is not making use of his fullest potential. 9 days of freedom. I must make sure I fully recharge for a brand new Term ahead. I am SOOO Looking forward to see my wonderful Students again....hehe...HAHAHA. I am sure my fellow colleague is happy as well. He too is extending his service in gratitude for the 4 years of nurturing RI has done to him.

"Ask not what the school can do to you..BUT what YOU can do to the school." My fellow colleague hijacked my MSN account today, when I was furiously scribbling red marks on my classes' scripts. So nice to be able to use Teck Beng's account. I even shifted his account over to google. From now on, only yours truly will be posting on this blog. Not even Teck Beng himself will be given access. Such a lame password he has.

A Surprise Visit!

With a series of events still swirling in my head, I walked dejectedly towards Junction 8. Was surprised to see Yeo Feng at Mos Burger, together with Ashraf, Nic Tsao and Thng.

Was apologetic that Yeo Feng saw me in a pathetic state. After all, it's the first time in a very long time that we meet. Proceeded with Yeo Feng, Nic and Ashraf to buy some speakers, after a dissatisfying meal of course, my mood affecting my tummy.

After a mentally exhausting day, I slumped at the back of Yeo Feng's manual car. Alighted at Tanah merah together with Ashraf.

More stringent=More proactive. The activation energy is high. Sometimes I wonder why am I putting so much energy. It is tiring if left unchecked. A lesson learnt. Looks like I have to put in 110% from now on. One Term and 3 days left.

Still Waters

Sometimes, it is good to take a good breath. Spent my weekend worrying over, as my friend would say, a small but embarrassing screwup. Meanwhile, I have to concentrate on looking at all the nitty gritty details of various admin tasks.

Only marked 1/2 a class so far. Have 4 1/2 more classes to mark before the start of the March holidays. Sleepiness comes in waves. I almost KOed while invigilating a student taking his Common Test. He had better do well, even so after my intensive tuition with him last Friday.

Bought a CD of "Still Waters". Had been one of my goals for the longest of times. Somehow, my father managed to get a voucher for 1.2k, which allowed him to purchase a brand new laptop by just adding $700! Talk about grace. Even I was surprised that a simple letter written by me was sufficient (which I assumed it as hopeless due to negligence) .

So moral (e, Dr Chan) of the story is, if you don't pursue things to the end, you might never find out if the desired outcome is possible.

Window Vista looks cool (meaning pleasant to the eye). I wonder how long will it take before XP becomes obsolete.

4 more days before R&R.
