MRT train service

Since my father wanted to varnish the floor, I spent my time walking around Orchard Road after the meeting of the two heroes at Suntec City. My skin had been 99% recovered by then, so a little sun and smoke would not hurt.

Took a lonely train back home. I wonder why they bother putting up the MRT display board if all they show are movie trailers. Commuters are SUPPOSED to see MRT train arrival, and not some lame adverts 24/7. Usually, they display the timing "Pasir Ris, 1 min" when the train is about to arrive. Yea. Very helpful there. Like I CAN'T hear the train arriving.

The train is already so crowded. Have they ever thought about what happen if the population increased to 6 million? You can forget about getting on board the train if you are not at Pasir Ris or Boon Lay.

Enough gripes about the SMRT. Now on to the BBC book which I have. It is also very helpful, like the MRT signboard. How the heck does the author expect one to learn if all he/it does is put one jing gang sentence to the left and the translation to the right, without any explanation on language structure??

It's a good thing that I am not taking Law now. If not, I will be forced to give up what I am doing now...

Unchartered Territory

Just had a conversation with one of my close friend. Even though I have crossed the age of 21 years, there is still a hellot of stuffs about the world which I do not know.

They say that ignorance is bliss. How long can a person live under ignorance and survive?

The facilities around my place have recently been upgraded. Maybe I should go use them after I have recovered. After all, the last time I swam was during the last year of RI.

And now I am stepping into the grey area, not bounded by stuffs that are black and white. "You cannot always think straight, sometimes you must think wai", that rebuke which still stung strongly in my conscience.

When you look back at your life after many years, how do you know that you have lived a good one?

Free Man

Finally completed my task which took 3 mother long weeks. Time to return back the work and collect my cheque.

Sometimes I get frustrated with the public transport (actually, make it most of the time). Excruciating wait for the train to come at City Hall/Pasir Ris, squeezing in among the hordes, standing for minutes just for a seat that lasts only for a station, etc. Might decide to take up driving again...if I have the mood of not trying to drive the 3 tonner up my SAF instructor @##.

Was assigned the task of helping my mother's friend's daughter in doing her sec one Maths problems. Amused by the fact that I can at least do most of the problems just by glancing through. Looks like all is not lost yet. Not all who wander are lost.

Despite my sincerest effort of eating load, not exercising and leading a sedentary lifestyle, my weight still hovers below 55kg. Dammit. I wonder if my weighing machine is spoilt.

Now the craze is about Granado Espada. "Dance with the Espada babes!!!" as one advertisement from Zouk tried to entice. My friend is now desperately trying to level his mage to 90 since the level gap has been lifted. GE is 3.5GB, which is 6 times my former MMORPG. No thanks man.

The Unknown

It is hard to tell when is a weekday, especially if there is no work/school to determine whether it is a Monday or Friday. Mulling over answer scripts and writing an essay is certainly not the best way of passing time.

McMuster at Paradiz is on the verge of collapse. When I played Battlefield with Junda and Damien, it was a lagfest. All my movements were jerky; to compound the situation, we were outnumbered 10:3. Like all good Americans, we were swearing whenever the numerically superior Vietnamese forces overran a checkpoint.

Stayed over at Damien's house, with Junda learning the basics of World Wrestling on PS2, after of course slaying countless foot soldiers in Dynasty Warriors 5.

Law, Accounting and Marketing. 3 major topics in 2 months. I am like a level one hero that starts in a field where only experience counts.

Orchard, as usual, is a smoky place. Frustrating because it leaves my hair and body sticky the next day.

Now my task is 50% done. Need to return back to RI to collect 3 more classes. Perhaps this is my last post, perphaps it might not. I can empathise with Dragon's feelings in his earlier post. 2 years ago, I would have cursed and sweared, in fact at literally nothing. How time has changed.

Reading through the Forums. It seems that a multitude of others are in a dilemna as well. "Where's the criteria?" some asked. Others took the opportunity to showcase their child's stellar results. "My son/daughter got 4 As, 2 S Papers distinction and a B4. Why is there not even an invitation?" In a twisted irony, one could not even get into the original choice that I had.

For me, I have to wait for an additional month. I foresee myself marking for one and a half more weeks, and then I would finally be able to get clearance.

And meanwhile, I wait...

Smiling, Proud Wanderer

Returned to a deserted RI a few days ago. Sad to say, I could not return and hand over my stuffs, even though it is my heart's desire. Instead, I marked a few scripts before the Zz monster threatened to devour me. Headed to S11 for a you4 mian4 bowl alone.

Returned back to the old campus feeling full and satisfied. Collected two classes of scripts from my old hangout. Spoilt the photocopy machine in the staffroom in the process, which was the main reason why it prevented me from collecting all 5 classes at once.

Hopped over to Khatib to Damien's house, which I spent the night over. His level 80 mage in Last Chaos is impressive; it is like hitting level 120 in my old MMORPG. Tried to do some marking, but of course failed. The most I manage is only one script -_-. Levelled up some Dynasty Warrior heroes. Managed to unlock level 3 weapon for Ma Chao. The English voiceover should be shot, seriously. Cao Cao became Cow Cow. Cao Pi= Cow Pee. It is a damn sad mispronunciation of all the Chinese hanyu pinyin.

Perservered until 6 in the morning, in which I took 39 home and slept half the day away.
