Battle Weary

Just finished reading through another set of notes. Time now is 2:30 am. I wonder if I can be up by 9am tomorrow, when the glare of the morning sun hits my face.

I guess it is inevitable. When more than one organism occupies the same ecological niche, competition is bound to occur due to the limited natural resources. Sometimes, I wonder how long can this earth sustain 6+b humans. Maybe it has already hit 7b somewhere in India/China.

Some have already accepted their fates. Others decide to be "dian di" for the rest. Dammnit. Even though the sword is stained with blood, hell will freeze over before that happens. At least put up a good fight. (reminding myself, as always).

One more day of revision before the sun sets.

Stock Check

Tomorrow is Tuesday, in fact it is already Tuesday, since it's 12 am at the moment. Just finished some practice papers, though it was a little slower than expected, at least I managed to browse through all of them. It's one thing to look through the notes with your eyes only; it's quite a different matter (though a much needed experience) when writing on paper.

Apparently, NUS used to like to set long essay questions, since the exam period used to be 3 weeks++ long. Thankfully, it is now reduced to a measly two weeks. The benefit is that there are now more MCQs, the bad part is less time for revision.

Quite amusing when I briefly looked through the papers today. Saw IUHAIJ in a picture, posing together with a bevy of other girls and guys in "Hey Beautiful" So weird.

Shall make another trip to NUS tomorrow; to mug, eat lunch and visit the dentistry department.

Autumn Leaves

It's less than 10 days to the Winter Wars. Due to the long break, I have lost track of time, alternating between sleep and study. Tomorrow will be the last day that I will be touching cadavers.

Even as I speak, my ex-students are preparing for their major class outing at a chalet :). I might decide to pop by to see, perhaps even bringing my notes along. I am sure that they have done very well for their exams.

My desktop abruptly gave up on me. That stupid piece of metal could not even connect to my printer. Acer brand computer. It's not even a year yet dammit! Had to use Safe mode to store all my important files and photos in my backup D:/ Grr. And it made a hellot of noise.

How do I separate a hydrophobic molecule from its hydrophobic core?

The Winter Wars

Just came back from Dingjie's birthday party. The food served at Blooie's Bar and Grill is excellent! Seldom do I eat second helpings of the same dishes, especially at formal gatherings like parties. It also marks the first time that I actually bought a present for somebody. Usually, I would just be the passive contributor of cash.

Ruifen, Winglam, Andrew Lam, Vanessa, Abin, Jon Teh (lol) and Youwei were present. Time literally flies when you are in good company. Arsenal vs Man U match was broadcast live at the same time as well...it was bloody exciting with both sides finding the net. On a random sidenote, I just realise one of my friends (actually, technically speaking,...)look like Faye Wong.

The weeks ahead are getting slacker by the day, since most of the major modules have run their course. Like AO, I consider it as my extended study break, just before the 116 of my batch face different challenges at the end of this month.

When it starts to snow, it will herald the start of the winter wars...
