Drugs and Society

This happened a few weeks ago: I was trying to find ppl to take the eastbound train with me after lecture. Turned out that most of my friends have additional lectures. Feeling bored, I decided to "crash"---attend one of my friend's lecture as a guest.

Since I was feeling ravenously hungry, I decided to da bao chicken chop and bring inside the LT for my delayed lunch. The module that I had crashed into---Drugs and Society.

Since I could potentially create a mess with the chop sauce, I decided to sit in the front row. Hence, while I was happily munching on the chicken, the lecturer proceeded with her lecture on heroin and its social/legal issues. While the webcam was still turned on, she proceeded to ask an open-ended qn, in which there was no takers. Inevitably, she turned to me---the person still munching on chicken chop.

Gulped down my chop and answered the lecturer as simply as I could---the guest who was not supposed to be there. Was relieved when my Q&A was over. My "torment" was further extended when I realised that the lecturer did not give a short break during the 2 hrs, long after I finished the chop.

Was glad when the lecture was over---I rushed to catch bus 95 but sadly to no avail; I ended up waiting for the next one with my friends who slowly strolled out.
