Stomachache

Seems that honey star corn flakes and fresh milk do not agree with my stomach. Had sharp pains in my belly throughout the maths paper. I am surprised and thankful that I actually managed to finish the paper, despite frequent jabs. Maybe I am lactose intolerant to a mild extent. Compounded with Monday blues and a major paper, my stomach must have revolted. Thus I was forced to visit the loo a couple of times today.

Went Bedok to eat lunch with Julian and Ginway. Amazingly the hawker centre was very crowded. Just as we were about to share a table with a lady, an old man came along and snatched Julian's seat. Julian meekly gave way to him, even though he towered over the old man and could have easily refused. Much must be said about Ginway. His valiant efforts were commendable, sitting beside the old man, pretending nothing had happened:

Poorly dressed with only a few long strands of hair to cover his head, the old man ate his bowl of noodles in a most unusual way. Forsaking the use of chopsticks, he brought his gaunt head near the bowl and ate using only his spoon. With one hand pushing his greasy, Only God knows when he washed his hairs, he proceeded as if nothing had happened. (while Julian and I were half-amused, half-disgusted). Occasionally, he gave a cough, clearly full of stuck up phlegm that reminds one of SARS patients hacking away. He doen't seem to mind his long dreadlocks that touch the plates as well, dumping all the chilli sauce in his bowl. Before anyone would have fainted, he left much to my relief. (though I was not sure of the other 2 as well).

After that, the three of us were happily talking about our secondary school days (the 3 of us used to be from the same sec1-2 class), reminiscing about our adventures and of course Ivan. Left after a not-so-satisfying meal (see above), and I guess Ginway and Julian continued to chat about Ivan.

Ever heard of an original DVD that cost $3.99? :)
